Overview of the Scenic Spot
The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, known as the “First Mausoleum under Heaven”, is the mausoleum of Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. It is located on the top of Qiaoshan Mountain in Huangling County, Yan’an City, Shaanxi Province. There are towering ancient cypresses here, and the atmosphere is solemn and respectful, with many historical sites and commemorative buildings.

Xuanyuan Temple
There is a group of ancient cypresses in the temple. Among them, the most famous is the “Cypress Planted by the Yellow Emperor”. According to legend, it was planted by the Yellow Emperor himself and has a history of more than 5,000 years, making it the oldest cypress in the world. There is also the “Cypress Where Emperor Wu of Han Hung His Armor” and others. Each ancient cypress has a unique historical legend.
The Hall of the First Ancestor of Humanities enshrines a relief statue of the Yellow Emperor, which is solemn and solemn and is an important place for people to offer sacrifices to the Yellow Emperor and remember their ancestors.
The Tomb of the Yellow Emperor
The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is located on the top of Qiaoshan Mountain. The earthen mound of the tomb is 3.6 meters high and has a circumference of 48 meters. It is surrounded by a green brick flower wall. In front of the tomb, there is a stone tablet named “Qiaoshan Longyu” established by Tang Qi during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. Transportation Guide
External Transportation
Airplane: You can first take a plane to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, and then take a long-distance bus to Huangling County at the airport bus station. After arriving in Huangling County, transfer to local transportation to the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor scenic spot.
Train: You can first go to Xi’an Railway Station or Yan’an Railway Station, and then transfer to a bus to Huangling County. Both Xi’an East Bus Station and Yan’an South Bus Station have buses to Huangling County.

Specialty Foods
Huangling Yougao (Fried Cake)
